Newborn bootie/slippers

I recently crocheted a pair of slippers for my newborn granddaughter from an old, Woman's Day pattern pub., 1972. Instead of cotton #10 I used soft, crochet cotton which is slightly thicker in gauge but makes the softest slippers.
Then I found a knitting pattern on Ravalry yarns that is simple and oh so cute. As a new knitter I had yet to master the craft of booties. This pattern is so simple and wonderful! It made me feel like an expert knitter!
My daughter just fell in love with both pairs and asked for a no- limit supply!
I hope this helps new knitters like me.
The crochet bootie pattern is very versatile and can be embellished with chains on ankle or fringed for mocassin styles.
 Again, I hope you enjoy!

The Ravalry site is free to join and offers 100's of patterns and many other helpful info. I am a member of Ravalry, Lion Brand, Rowan Knits, Redheart, Annie's, and several more, the endless supply of new patterns is dreamy! I love them all!
Hope you do too!
